Taylor Swift anuncia lançamento de seu oitavo álbum "Folklore"

Na manhã desta quinta(23), Taylor Swift anunciou através de suas redes sociais o lançamento de seu oitavo álbum de estúdio "Folklore". O novo disco da cantora trará 16 faixas e a edição física terá uma bônus "The Lake". Swift comunicou o lançamento lamentando não ter vivido as coisas que planejava para seus projetos, "A maioria das coisas que eu planejei neste verão não acabou acontecendo, mas há algo que eu não tinha planejado que aconteceu. E essa coisa é o meu 8º álbum de estúdio, folclore."

Most of the things I had planned this summer didn’t end up happening, but there is something I hadn’t planned on that DID happen. And that thing is my 8th studio album, folklore. Surprise 🤗Tonight at midnight I’ll be releasing my entire brand new album of songs I’ve poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into. I wrote and recorded this music in isolation but got to collaborate with some musical heroes of mine; @aarondessner (who has co-written or produced 11 of the 16 songs), @boniver (who co-wrote and was kind enough to sing on one with me), William Bowery (who co-wrote two with me) and @jackantonoff (who is basically musical family at this point). Engineered by Laura Sisk and Jon Low, mixed by Serban Ghenea & Jon Low. The album photos were shot by the amazing @bethgarrabrant. Before this year I probably would’ve overthought when to release this music at the ‘perfect’ time, but the times we’re living in keep reminding me that nothing is guaranteed. My gut is telling me that if you make something you love, you should just put it out into the world. That’s the side of uncertainty I can get on board with. Love you guys so much ♥️

O novo disco da cantora já vem com o clipe de uma das canções "cardigan", no qual ela escreveu e dirigiu. Segundo Taylor, "Folklore" foi gravado durante seu isolamento,  "Eu escrevi e gravei essa música isoladamente, mas pude colaborar com alguns heróis musicais meus", ela ainda contou que seu oitavo trabalho em estudo terá oito versões, "folklore terá 16 músicas na edição padrão, mas as edições físicas de luxo incluirão uma faixa bônus "the lakes". Como este é o meu 8º álbum de estúdio, disponibilizei 8 CDs e 8 vinis de luxo por 1 semana. Cada um tem capas e fotos exclusivas". Segue a tracklist que conta com a parceria da banda Bon Iver na faixa "exile".
