BTS, Doja Cat e J Balvin, são os primeiros nomes confirmados a se apresentarem no Video Music Awards 2020 da MTV, que vai ao ar ao vivo em 30 de agosto. O programa contará com a primeira apresentação do BTS no VMA e a estreia na TV do novo single inglês do grupo, "Dynamite", com lançamento previsto para 21 de agosto.

Esse ano a premiação acontecerá no Barclays Center, em Nova York, e segundo o governador de Nova York, Andrew Cuomo, que não deu muitos detalhes, mas adiantou que o evento terá “uma plateia limitada, ou inexistente”. A decisão final vai depender da evolução da pandemia até a data.

A MTV revelou os indicados ao Video Music Awards de 2020, com Ariana Grande , Lady Gaga , Billie Eilish e The Weeknd, liderando o numero de indicados.
